Some form of project management exists in virtually every industry. This one day workshop provides an overview of project management which will get you on track to reach the project goal.


This workshop is based on the international Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide)—a guide that serves to provide and encourage a common terminology. 


Intended Audience:


Managers and staff who are charged with setting up a project and seeing it through to the end. No prior knowledge is required.


Topics:

  • What can be classed as a project?
  • Risk Management
  • Scoping of a project – what to include and what to exclude 
  • The phases of a project and what to do during each phase
  • What to do if you run out of time, money or resources
  • Closing a project and hand over


As a result of attending this one day training participants will:

  • Plan for a successful project
  • Create a project scope – what’s in and what’s out
  • Identify the project life cycle, mitigate risks and plan budget contingency
  • Implement projects steps and complete project reporting
  • Understand the needs of stakeholder groups

  • Full day: 9am to 4.45pm 
  • Public courses are held in Lower Hutt, Wellington, and can be held at your location at a time that suits you.
  • Up to 12 people, In-house course at your site: $2,500 (excl GST)
  • All participants receive a workbook, checklists and notes to take away.
